Privacy Policy
Salam Alaykum, Sis. Here's exactly how we look after your information.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit liamanah.com, download a freebie, join our email list or buy one of our digital products, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've kept it as plain as we can. If anything is unclear, email us at admin@liamanah.com.
1. Who we are
Liamanah is a business registered in Nigeria and owned by Zuliat Lawal.
Business name: Liamanah
Email: admin@liamanah.com
Website: liamanah.com
For the purposes of data protection law, Liamanah is the "data controller" of the personal data described in this policy. That means we decide how and why your data is used, and we're responsible for looking after it.
2. The laws we follow
We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). If you are visiting from the United Kingdom or the European Union, we also respect your rights under the UK GDPR and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. What we collect
Information you give us
Your name and email address when you sign up for a free download (such as "10 Calm Scripts" or "10 Duas"), join a waitlist or subscribe to our newsletter.
Purchase information when you buy a product: your name, email address, billing country, the product you bought, the price, the date and your order or transaction reference.
Anything you send us when you email us, for example a question about an order or a refund request.
Information collected automatically
Device and usage data, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location (country or city level), the pages you visit, how long you stay and how you arrived at our site.
Cookies and similar technologies, explained in section 9.
What we don't collect
Full card details. Payments are handled by our payment processors (for example, card processors connected to our checkout). Liamanah never sees or stores your full card number.
What you type into your PDFs. Our products are interactive PDFs. Anything you write in them, such as your child's name in a dua, stays on your own device. We don't receive it.
4. How we use your information, and our lawful reasons
Data protection law asks us to have a lawful reason (a "lawful basis") for each way we use your data. Here's ours.
To process your order and send your download link, so you get what you paid for. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
To send your free download and the emails you signed up for (newsletters, waitlist updates and offers). Lawful basis: your consent.
To reply to your emails and handle refund requests. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in supporting our customers.
To keep records of sales and refunds, as tax and accounting rules require. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
To understand how people use our site (Google Analytics), so we can improve our pages and content. Lawful basis: your consent where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interests.
To measure and show ads on Facebook and Instagram (Meta Pixel), so we can reach mothers who may find our resources useful. Lawful basis: your consent where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interests.
To keep our site and checkout secure and prevent fraud or misuse of our files. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed our interests against your rights and only go ahead where we believe your rights are not overridden.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to make decisions about you by purely automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Our emails, and unsubscribing
When you sign up for a free download, a waitlist or our newsletter, you'll join our email list. We'll send you the resource you asked for, plus encouragement, tips and news about our products.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing admin@liamanah.com. Unsubscribing from marketing emails won't stop us sending you emails you need about an order you've placed, such as your download link or a refund confirmation.
6. Who we share your information with
We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us run Liamanah, and only as much as they need.
Systeme.io: runs our website, opt-in forms, email list and checkout. Systeme.io is based in France, in the European Union.
Our payment processors (for example, card processors connected to our checkout): take and process your payment securely.
Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel): helps us measure and show ads on Facebook and Instagram.
Google LLC (Google Analytics): helps us understand how our site is used.
Professional advisers, such as accountants or lawyers, where needed.
Authorities, where the law requires us to share information, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
If Liamanah is ever sold or restructured, your data may pass to the new owner, who would have to keep looking after it in line with this policy.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Nigeria. Systeme.io is based in France (EU), and Meta and Google are based in the United States.
When your data is transferred outside Nigeria (or outside the UK or EU, if you're visiting from there), we take steps required by law to keep it protected. This may include relying on the destination country being recognised as offering adequate protection, standard contractual clauses or the provider's own approved data transfer arrangements.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep your data only for as long as we need it.
Email list data: until you unsubscribe. After that, we may keep your email address on a "do not contact" list so we respect your choice.
Purchase and refund records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Emails you send us: for as long as needed to help you, and for a reasonable time after in case you have follow-up questions.
Analytics and advertising data: for the periods set in Google Analytics and Meta's tools, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
When we no longer need your data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. Cookies
Cookies are small files saved on your device when you visit a website. We and our providers use them to:
Make the site work: for example, remembering what's in your checkout (essential cookies).
Understand how the site is used: through Google Analytics (analytics cookies).
Measure and show ads: through the Meta Pixel (advertising cookies).
Your choices
Where the law requires it, we show a cookie consent banner when you first visit, so you can accept or decline non-essential cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Look for "Privacy" or "Cookies" in your browser's menu. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site such as checkout may not work properly.
You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
You can manage how Meta uses your data for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
1. Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
2. Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
3. Delete your data, where we have no lawful reason to keep it.
4. Object to us using your data, including for direct marketing, and ask us to restrict how we use it.
5. Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent. This won't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
6. Data portability: receive your data in a commonly used format, or ask us to send it to another organisation where this is technically possible.
7. Complain to a data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email admin@liamanah.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on your request. We'll respond within the time limits set by law, and we won't charge you unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
Making a complaint. We'd love the chance to put things right first, so please contact us. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). If you're in the UK, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you're in the EU, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
11. How we keep your data safe
We use reputable service providers with security measures in place, and we limit access to your data to people who need it to run Liamanah. No system online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. If a data breach happens that is likely to put your rights at risk, we'll notify the relevant authority and, where required, you.
12. Children's privacy
Our website and products are intended for adults and parents. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please email admin@liamanah.com and we'll delete it.
13. Links to other websites
Our site and emails may link to other websites and platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook. They have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for how they handle your data. Please check their policies before sharing information with them.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new tool. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or with a notice on our site.
